DARTMOUTH

Fishmarket Lane

In 1851 my 4x gt grandparents, Samuel Allery and Elizabeth Symons were living in Fishmarket Lane. Elizabeth was listed as blind. Samuel was a candle maker. Their 12 year old son Frederick was with them. They were living in Dartmouth in 1841 possibly at the same address.

Fishmarket Lane was knocked down firstly to build the Mansion House, then the fishermens cottages were knocked down to build the cottage hospital. The photo shows Mansion House Street. There is an ambulance parked outside the cottage hospital.
